Renting - The Green Thing to Do
Two of the easiest things to do when “living green” is to: Reduce and Reuse. Renting equipment from All Star Rents allows you to do both these things.
Reduce – By renting equipment a community will buy less of what may end up in a landfill someday. The amount of oil needed to lubricate all of the items will be reduced. There will be less pollution from the production of equipment.
Reuse – Most people do not need an item every day of every week so why not share? A community that rents and reuses a resource like construction and homeowner equipment will buy less and make their footprint on our environment that much smaller. And if someone must buy something…buy our used equipment to keep the reuse going strong.
All Star Rents is committed to complying and even going above and beyond government regulations. Our employees are trained on how to follow regulations that help reduce the impact on our environment. We follow all Air Resource policies and upgrade our equipment to meet their regulations. We have and will continue to update and replace our diesel equipment like our boom and reach lifts, tractors, backhoes, bobcats, generators, and our delivery and rental trucks to the new diesel emission standards. We are in compliance and are continuing to further update our forklifts to the new exhaust particulate matter standards as they change.
In addition we have replaced power hungry light fixtures and reduced our power usage by hundreds of thousands of watts each year. There is no doubt that equipment use is a contributor to environmental impact…but renting will help reduce that impact greatly.
