MECHANIC
The Mechanic ensures that the company provides top quality equipment to its customers by inspecting, trouble shooting, diagnosing and repairing the equipment fleet; ensure all safety features are operational, inspect for leaks and work parts, repair itmes as necessary.
General duties and responsibilities include:
• Service and repair all equipment and complete any necessary paperwork on equipment repair
• Operate CKMAINT computer program in order to find equipment for maintenance, prioritize repairs, and update equipment files
• Coordinate priority repairs with Branch Manager
• Test and start all equipment monthly
• Order parts, including getting price quotes from 3 different vendors and approving items over $100 with Branch Manager
• Assists with customers as needed
• Perform duties in safe, effective and professional manner
• Abide to company policies and procedures
• Perform other related duties as needed
This position requires that you:
• Possess a valid CA (or NV for Sparks and Carson City locations) driver's license and maintain a clean driving record that is within company standards
• Have experience working with 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, diesel engines, and electrical and hydraulic systems
• Have welding experience
• Be able to lift 50 lbs (unaided) to chest level
• Work outside in various climates
• Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Work on weekends and some holidays
• Maintain a professional personal appearance
• Possess good communication skills
• Maintain an acceptable attendance record
• Complete a comprehensive on-the-job training program as used to train all new employees
• Pass a background inspection
• Pass a drug screening test
